Integrative Department

Mrs. Lucie Tannous El hajj

Head of Integrative Program

Recently, we noticed that many students, especially in the primary and intermediate stages, face learning difficulties, and these difficulties take multiple forms centered on the inability to read and write or read with great difficulty, or the inability to memorize, or to do arithmetic work, and also developmental difficulties related to brain functions and the mental and cognitive processes that the child needs in his academic achievement.

From here, the Department of Inclusion came to include these students to help them overcome their difficulties according to the degree of their appearance and severity, which affects the individual on self-esteem, education, professional matters, and social adaptation in all activities of daily life. The Integration Department provides multiple services, including creating new ways to teach basic skills such as reading, writing, and arithmetic by working on developing long and short-term memory according to an individual educational plan through:

  • Determining students' levels, whether developmental or cognitive.
  • Adapting the curriculum with the help of a coordinating team.
  • Providing high level skills such as organization, time planning, and abstract thinking.
  • Working to enhance self-confidence.
  • Creating a comfortable, inclusive society, and an incubating environment, and raising awareness and acceptance of differences between people.
  • Encouraging and supporting students with learning difficulties to develop their skills and abilities.
  • In addition to the above, the integration department aims to educate parents about the reality of the conditions of their sons and daughters, to help these sons and daughters draw a clear picture of their future, and stimulate their abilities to follow their daily lives normally.
